We'll take care of you

At Wise & Associates, we understand that facing a divorce, child custody dispute, or child support case can be stressful and overwhelming. That’s why we’ve developed a proven process designed to guide our clients through their legal journey with clarity and confidence.

Our process begins with a comprehensive consultation where we listen to your needs, understand your goals, and provide you with a clear roadmap for your family law case.

We believe in transparency and open communication, so we keep you informed at every step, explaining legal terms in plain language and providing regular updates on your case. Our collaborative approach ensures that you’re not just a bystander in your case, but an active participant.

We also understand that every family law case is unique, so we tailor our approach to meet your specific needs. Our team of experienced attorneys works tirelessly to develop innovative legal strategies that are designed to achieve the best possible outcome for you.

Guiding you at each step

At Wise & Associates, we’re not just your legal representatives, we’re your partners in navigating the complexities of the legal system. Our proven process reduces anxiety by providing you with a clear path forward, giving you peace of mind as you face the unknown.

Step One: Initial Consultation

At Wise & Associates, we understand that each client’s situation is unique and requires a personalized approach. To ensure we fully understand your specific needs and circumstances, we conduct initial consultations over the phone. These consultations typically last between 15 and 30 minutes and provide an opportunity for us to learn more about you and your case.

During this consultation, our goal is to help you gain a general understanding of potential next steps should you choose to proceed with Wise & Associates. We believe in empowering our clients with knowledge and clarity, and this initial conversation is designed to provide you with a clear path forward.

Step Two: Engagement Meeting

To ensure you have a clear understanding of our services and associated fees, we conduct Engagement Meetings. These meetings provide an opportunity for us to explain in detail the scope of our representation, the fees involved, and to gather additional information necessary for your family law case. We understand that each case is unique, and we take the time to understand your specific circumstances and needs.

At the conclusion of the Engagement Meeting, we discuss and settle the fees as outlined in our engagement contracts. We believe in providing clear and upfront information about our fees to avoid any surprises down the line. Once the fees are settled, we outline actionable steps for moving forward, ensuring you have a clear understanding of the next stages in your legal journey.

Step Three: Initiation Meeting

In this crucial stage, we utilize the information gathered during the Engagement Meeting to prepare the necessary legal documents. These documents serve to either initiate your family law action or respond to a previously filed action.

During this meeting, you will have the opportunity to review and sign any necessary legal documents under the guidance of your Wise & Associates attorney. We understand that legal documents can be complex, and we are committed to ensuring you fully understand each document before signing.

Furthermore, we will discuss the next steps in your case. We believe in keeping our clients informed and prepared for what lies ahead. As your case progresses, we will provide you with a clear understanding of the upcoming stages, ensuring you are well-prepared for the days and weeks ahead.

Step Four: Weekly Communication

At Wise & Associates, we prioritize proactive communication. We understand that being kept in the loop regarding the status of your case and the anticipated next steps can significantly alleviate the stress and anxiety associated with the unknown. Our approach ensures that our clients are well-informed about their case progression and the likely actions to be taken in the upcoming days and weeks.

While we recognize that not every situation necessitates daily or weekly updates, we firmly believe in the importance of setting clear expectations. We are committed to providing you with timely and relevant updates, ensuring you are never left in the dark. Our goal is to provide you with peace of mind and confidence as you navigate your legal journey.

Step Five: Case Finalization

At this stage, we will prepare and sign all the necessary court documents or gear up for your final hearing to conclude your case. Each state has its own unique procedures, but our objective remains consistent – to finalize any documents required to effectively “close out” your case or to prepare for trial, if absolutely necessary.

These meetings serve as a platform to explain the final steps of your case in the forthcoming weeks. We understand that the legal process can be daunting, and we aim to provide you with a clear understanding of what to expect as your case nears its conclusion.

Step Six: Disengagement Meeting

The final disengagement meeting serves a crucial role in providing our clients with all the court documents that have been entered by the Judge or Magistrate. Your Wise & Associates attorney will take the time to explain each document, ensuring you understand their implications outside of the legal system.

During this meeting, we will also discuss potential scenarios that may require your return to family court and provide guidance on considerations for your path forward. We understand that the conclusion of a legal case doesn’t necessarily mean the end of the journey, and we aim to equip you with the knowledge and understanding to navigate any future legal encounters confidently.
